Sri Nama Nageswara Rao, founder of Madhucon Group came from humble family, which is entirely based on farming. With the spirit of Vision and enterprise, he established Madhucon Projects Limited in 1983 with concentrating on Infrastructure development projects. He himself set his own targets to the project and executed the projects in the record time. Technology updating to latest machineries and methods, executing projects at most economical way mainly contributed to the above success. The major Milestones are:


  • In 1988, Madhucon Projects Ltd completed the construction of Pump house Stage III by commissioning 20+2 VT Pumps of 1940 Hp Capacity with Total Discharge of 35.316 cumecs at Mahuli, Sangli Dist for Thembu LI Project.

  • In 1994, Madhucon entered into Indian Railway sector and completed prestigious Konkan Railway Project. It achieved a prestigious Quality Construction Award from Konkan Railways for its outstanding performance and Superior quality of construction. The range of Railway projects include Embankments, construction of Station buildings & facilities, conversion of existing lines, Railway tracks and many more.

  • In 1995, it has become a Public Limited listed Company vide fresh Certificate of Incorporation. The Company has entered into Memorandum of Understanding with Bina Puri Holdings BHD, Malaysia for executing Highway. The Company has entered into an understanding with M/s Kilborn, Canada for tendering and prequalification for setting up of Coal Washery at Ananta-Bharatpur in Orissa and Sasti in Maharastra.

  • In 1997 Madhucon Projects Ltd entered into EPC mode in construction of first Road Project of constructing Four Lane in Vijayawada-Eluru Road of length 71.6 KM of NH-5 on EPC mode and made its mark in National Highways, State Highways, Expressways and many more. It has vast knowledge in building expressways, national highways, tunnels, flyovers and bridges. It has completed more than 10,000 lane KM of Road projects across India till date.

  • In 1998, first Tunnel project, of 7.85 KM length was taken near Devikhindi, Tal Khanapur Dist, Sangli.

  • In 2005, Madhucon made its way into major Irrigation Projects like Kalwakurthy Lift Irrigation Project in Telangana, Left Main Canal of Indra Sagar Project in Andhra Pradesh. It made its brand in many areas like canals, earthen dams, RCC and saddle dams, pump houses, spillways, intake channels & structures, ponds, under tunnels, super passages, single and double lane road bridges and distributary networks and hydro power projects amounting more than Rs 1374 Crore PAN India.

  • In 2009, Madhucon Projects bags contract worth Rs196.24 crore from M/s. Northern Coalfields Ltd. Madhucon JV bags US $ 3.9 Million order from Department of Roads, Government of Nepal.

  • In 2015, Madhucon Projects Ltd awarded EPC work of Hunli to Anini Road Project at Arunachal Pradesh from NHIDCL.

  • In 2016, Madhucon Projects bags 5 numbers of 2 lane Road projects contract worth Rs.1,140 crore from MORTH in Maharashtra.

  • In 2018, Madhucon Projects Ltd awarded the new EPC works of Nagaland Road Project of Rs 1021.27 Crore from NHIDCL.
